How much to mill off Vortec heads to go from 64 cc to 58 cc?

How much to mill off Vortec heads to go from 64 cc to 58 cc?
I talked to my machinist today and he said it should be around .040 does anyone have an exact number? Also what will have to be taken off the intake manifold?
