Cam Help.

im planning out my motor that im going to build here is what i know so far

4-bolt 350 block
bored .030 over
Forged 4340 3.75" stroke crank
Forged 4340 6.0" H-beam rods
Forged JE flat top pistons
AFR 195 heads
Edelbrock Performer RPM airgap intake
750 cfm carb(ither edelbrock or Holley)
Possible medium shot of nitrous(150-200)
ill be running a fairly think headgasket as i want the motor to run on 89 octane.

here is what im looking for. valvetrain setup that will get me to low 12's NA and into ATLEAST mid 11s if i spray.

things i would like from the valvetrain:
Roller Cam
Roller Lifters
Roller Rockers

a nice choppy idle would not be a bad thing but not required.

i dont expect the motor to see much more than 5500-6000 rpm.

give me some cam ideas here.

You didnt say what kind of block? Is this an older block that will be getting retro fit stuff, or is it a newer block that accepts factory style roller equipment?

Also, what transmission? If auto, what stall?

block is older style and will be retrofited. tranny will be auto. stall of the TC will be chosen after motor is built and i know what i need to get the job done. 700R4 if it makes any difference. rear gears will be the same as the TC, chosen after motor is built.

thanks for the input. those are some impressive numbers!!!. think ill be going with the XR-288. with 9.5:1 compression i should be able to run on 89 octane right?
