Car Barely runs when cold
on my 89 350 TPI when i start it I have to let it warm up 8-10 minutes before I can drive away smooth. If has the problem beween idle and 2,000. Sometimes If i hit the gas it seems its going to die and the whole car will go pu pu pu pu. Everything thing is brand new on it plugs wires blah blah timing is at stock 6 FP is at 46-47. I'm thinking a bad maf maybe even though I am not getting any codes.

Mkos,
Of all the sensors monitored by the ECM, the MAF is one of them that is most closely monitored. If the MAF signal varies from the acceptable range for more than 600mS, you will get an error code. It is possible that you have stored a pending code that may not be setting the MIL lamp, so scanning for any DTCs would be a good idea, but I'll be a little surprized if you turn up a MAF error.
If may have more relevance to teh CTS and TPS sensor readings than the MAF, and both of those can be checked easily with a meter.
