1 piece rear main.... but it has perimeter bolt valve cover heads.

As well as those points, 1986 was the last year for a flat tappet cam in SBC passenger car engines. It was also the first year for the 1227165 ECM on MAF V-8s, and a transition year for automatic transmissions.
