Im getting a new Radiator
The Radiator I have now wont keep up with the zz430 crate motor. It does alright until I get on the throttle. I think I will get the Be cool Radiator because from What I have read the Griffin is a pain to make work. There is a plastic piece that fits over the top of the radiator and the fan bolts to it. Will this Piece fit on the be cool radiator OK?

. I've heard that minor modifcations have to be made to run bolth be cool and griffen and im fairly certian that you would need a seperate trans cooler more hassle.SSC

Listen to what he said... My experience: I just replaced my BeCool after 2 1/2 years of service... that's it. It developed an unrepairable leak... To answer install questions, yep, there's a couple of mods... Mine was on a '91, so take it from there. You will have to add spacers and longer bolts for your fans, as they will be set back about 3/4 inch. There is a strip that comes with it that attaches to the top of the "fan guard". You will need to get two adapters for the tranny lines that do not come with and oh, they don't tell you that, and then the one for the heater hose. If you're gonna do it, let me know - you can have my fittings. Maybe I had bad luck, but $500+ was alot to just toss a couple of years later...

I just pulled the radiator all the way out of the car. Weight or price are not issues right now. I just need the best radiator out there. I have a 6 speed so I dont have to deal with a oil cooler. I do have a air conditiong condensor.
What kinda of radiator is it then? How many cores? from my experiance a 3 core works quite well even with a condenser in front and a turbo 350 plummed into it, it ran 180ish with the ac off and 190/200 on. Now it runs 180 all the time "no more ac" and my engine is pushing a few more ponies than your zz430 and still has the trans cooler working.
Im just saying a fairly cost effective and efficient way to fly is with the autozone one. Just my opionion though
SSC.
BTW what kinda 6 speed ya got?

Its a 3 row copper/brass. It wasnt replaced to long before I bought the car. I dont know who makes it. The air conditioning isnt even hooked up right now. There is no way the radiator will cool the car when I hook it up. If I baby the throttle The temp will stay under 200. Also using a edelbrock water pump.
