Gas tank removal

To remove the gas tank in a 89 RS Camaro, do I need to remove any of the rear suspension. I looked at it shortly before work and thought I may need to. I need the hole tank out of the car.

Thanks

you need to lower the rear as much as you can, plus raise the car as high as you can. the exhaust most likely will need to be removed too. it's a big help to have a extra set of hands helping and to drain the tank. it sounds a lot worse than it really is to do.

OK. The exhaust is already gone(car being parted out) and I have it raised in the rear with the jackstands under the rear carrier. So just lowering the rear suspension should give ma enough clearance?
