to solid motor mount or to not to soild motor mount
what is the advantages or disadvantages of useing solid motor mounts on a street car?i'm building a mild 350 TPI for my bird and was wondering if i would benafit from using solid motor mounts.
this car will see track time and possibly some auto crossing.

When an engine torques over, that's energy transmitted into motion where you don't want it. When you're looking to put every bit of power to use, you want to control as much of the rotational forces as possible. That's why rear suspension parts are swapped out for aftermarket parts. The stock parts move and flex causing power to be lost. When you reduce or eliminate those loses the power is then transmitted to weight transfer or to the drive wheels.
You can just as easily use a torque strap to tie the engine down.
The downside to solid engine mounts or suspension components is noise and vibration.

Altitude corrected rear wheel HP based on power to weight ratio: 504.5
Best 60 foot: 1.546
Racing at 3500 feet elevation but most race days it's over 5000 feet density altitude!
