What all is needed to do your own charging of a R134a system?

A recharging hose for the low pressure port, cans of r134 refrig., and a can of r134 compressor oil (NOT PAG oil). You can get all this in a kit at most generic auto parts stores. They sell retrofit kits if you need to change from R12. I got mine for $35. A 12 oz can typically goes for about $7.
