Turn the ignition key to the on position, but don't start it. Then try jumping the two larger posts on the starter with a screwdriver, just be careful not to shock yourself. If the starter turns over, then your solenoid is bad, take it back to autozone. If that doesn't work, then your problem lies before the starter. Check all of your wires, including grounds, for a good connection. Check for any corrosion.

If jumping battery power to the s terminal of the solenoid starts the car, you're not geting power from the ignition switch.
You said you can hear the relay clicking tho? With someone turning the key over, see how much voltage you're getting on the s-terminal (ignition feed) wire.
Sounds like the wire is cracked/shorted somewhere between the relay and solenoid.

I've run into a similar problem on my '92 vert. Five times over the past three years, it would just decide not to start....full power, fuel pump comes on, full charge on battery....just no cranky. It would always start after a while, but not due to anything I tried. Here recently it pulled the no-starting trick on me, and at a friend's suggestion, we attempted to jump start the car. Lo and behold, it started! Same thing happened this morning....no cranky, jump start, engine starts! This is with a new battery, new alternator, and new starter. I always assumed it was a VATS problem, but in doing a search on this forum I read that if VATS was the culprit, the car wouldn't even jump. Any clue as to what may be going wrong?
Fix

Hey Cargasm, what kind of battery are you running. A friend of mine had a plate fall over in his battery whenever you put a load on it, and short the battery. Try to start the car and it wouldn't start. Jump the car and it started fine. Just a little jump brought the plate back upright.
