122,000 miles to many for synthetic oil?

0 Leaks in the car. Brand new intake gaskets and oilpan gasket replaced at 100,000 and 0 oil consumption. Thanks

Nope. I changed over a 262 V-6 at 120,000 and drove it for another 50,000 without any trouble, when it was traded for something about 10 years newer. I did have a PS pump fail, but I don't think that could be blamed on the synthetic engine oil...

It's a little like quitting smoking - as long as everything is in good shape it's never too late to reap the benefits.

i'd do it, but if you aren't sure mix it 50/50 with regular oil and see how it does then go all synthetic next oil change if there are no problems.
