A noise
Everytime I put my car in gear ( i have automatic) it makes this "tink" sound. and when im driving it "tinks" when the tranny shifts. Sounds like it could be the driveshaft? I have the alum. Island Empire shaft, i checked the U joints and they are fine. Could the shaft be broken?

Whats the idle speed in/out of gear?
I'd say probably the trans mount, but I'm not too familiar with automatics.

I'm also going to say tranny mount. And since I read this topic I'm trying to remember if I feel/hear the same thing in my car in/out of gear. I had the mount replaced within the first week of owning the car (my dad made me have the shop do it so they at least got paid for something...they looked over my car for a half day to let me know everything that was wrong with it...gave me a quote of $2200 to fix everything so I had them fix $200 or so). I'll have to check the mount again because it seems to be making some noise if I remember right. Go figure, I drive the car every day and can't remember if it makes noise or not.
Either way, I'd recommend going with an energy suspension mount. I'm going to be doing that one of these days regardless if my tranny mount is broken. If it is though, it just means the new one gets put in even sooner
From what I hear, its the last tranny mount you'll ever need to buy.
