which heads are best for me

I aqm building a new 350 TPI motor for my 91z28 and need to know which heads I should sink my money into. I do not want anything over a grand. I am trying a build a budget motor here. I have ported the tpi setup including the intake.i will be adding a 52 or 58 mm tb and roller rockers. I have a LT4 HOT cam going in too depending on if I canget a better cam for street use.I will be runing a 6 spd and 3.73 gears. I am looking at the stock L98 aluminmum heads and edelbrock heads and the trick flow heads. which one guys help me out

TFS, Holley, and some AFR heads are the ones to spend money on. The Alum L98 heads are not much better than the stock iron heads.

The stock alum. heads are better than the 083 cast iron. I've had both flowed and once the 083's were ported they flowed about the same on the intake and a little less on the exhaust as the stock vette heads. I currently run the 6085 Edelbrocks and like them. Right out of the box they work great. I think I picked them up new for $700 on ebay. Anyway you still have to deal with the intake not hacking it and the increased size of the TB won't help that much. You really have to work the intake tract all the way through the engine. You should also be able to find some large tube runners on ebay that will help you out.

AFR 190 is the favorite ones. Check out canfield heads if you dont need the EGR valve, they flow great and are cheaper than AFR...
