car wont rev above 4500

car wont rev above 4500

i have a 350 with a 350\350 cam and a holley 750. dual point distributor from accel a blaster 2 coil and bosch +4 plugs. also hooker headers to a flowmaster exhaust. when i get on it and it gets to 4500 it makes some weird sound and like dies about there and wont rev higher. does anyone have any ideas ? its like some weird gurgling sound out the exhaust

350 bored 30 over ..882 casting heads ..comp cam..hooker headers.. 700r4 corvette servo .. 3.73 and SLP posi no hood on the car , holley 750 CFM, performer RPM intake.. and umm couple other things here and there

My car did that when the fuel filter was getting old, so you might want to check into that.

It could also be a clogged cat, but since the fuel filter is that much cheaper.. heh

Sounds like fuel starvation. Check your filter, and pump.
