Still blue smoke after rebuild

I rebuilt my heads and intake since i ran the car a litlle bit to hot a couple of times. So the right head was in a bad shape and it also smoked a litlle blue. Did a leak down test before and no the piston rings seems to be fine.
I got her started today after assembly and it smoked a little white and blue not that bad since it has been sitting in the garage for 3 months.
But after 45 minutes when it was really hot it started to smoke more blue when i increased the throttle.

Could there be oil trapped in the muffler since ive been driving it for a couple of years with the blue smoke and now after the muffler gets hot it starts to smoke or what possibly else could cause this to happen ?

Did you do the leak down before or after all the assembly stuff? Is the intake gasket seated properly?

I did the leak down test before since i didnt know if its was the piston rings that caused the problem.
The intake seems to be properly sealed i used alot of sealant in the front and back of the intake also overlaping the gaskets.

I had a leaky intake gasket not too long ago. It didn't take in enough oil to make visible blue smoke, but the plugs said it was burning oil, and so did the oil level. It was leaking on the inside of the engine though (ie. bottom of the intake gasket) so its a real PITA to find that problem.

The way I figured out that it was the intake gasket was by looking at my spark plugs... some were all fouled out by burning oil, and others looked just right. Take a look at your spark plugs. If only a few are fouled and the rest are fine, then odds are, its not worn out rigns/bore/etc... but something like an intake gasket or valve seals (?) or something that can cause problems in one cylinder and not another.

Before the rebuild the number 8 cylinder sparkplug where grey from ash. All others looked just fine.

What did the machine shop check when you sent them out?

They checked them for leaks and they replaced the valves since i had the heads of the engine. They also took about 1mm of the surface on the right head because it was really warped.
So they should be perfectly alright.

They only changed the valves? What was wrong with them, or had you already bought others? The guides were ok? What kind of seals did they put on the valves?

Also have white smoke as well? Have you pressure tested the cooling system as of yet?

I think the white smoke comes from moisture because the car has been standing in the garage for 3 months. Its was gone after 20 minutes.

The valve guides and seals are good .

Could a bad fuel filter cause it to smoke? I owned the car for 5 years and never changed it and i dont know when the previous owner did it.

A fuel filter can't make it smoke, since it doesn't hold oil, so that won't be it. can't hurt to change it though.

Maybe you should do a compression test on your engine?

The seals are Fel-pro.

I also had problem with the EGR valve, could that be the cause?
