Engine Rebuild
Well here is my problem. I have a block at my house right now. That I got from my uncle. It is a 1972 350 out of a Camaro. Now the only problem I have right now is should I keep it a 350 or just go all out and turn it into a 383? Also the next question I have since this will be my first build for my 1990 RS. Is the dipstick going to be on the same side as the 305 or not? The reason why I asked is I could remeber reading that they are on different sides. Thanks for the help in advance

Hey ede thanks for the honesty there. Granit I do have lack of experience and I am happy you brought that up. I will have my 2 friends help me out with this build. One owns a 66 Vette with a 383 that he just put in and another has had 2 third gens. Yet now I am still stuck in the middle of which to do. Even though the 383 is seeming mighty nice. I may just keep it at a 350 and learn from this build and next time make it a 383.
try a search on here for 383 and see waht all problems people have. maybe you'll decide you can do it, if so more power to you if not there's nothing wrong with a 350 and you'll learn a lot from it

I would rather take the learning experience over more power and problems. Plus there is always going to be a next time
. Thanks for the suggestion man

I say look into both, and whats all required for each, then, with that, make a decision as to what you think is best for you and your endeavors.
