hey guys this happened to be two times today just driving around town. I pull up to a light and have to sit a couple minutes and it would die. it starts back up real good and everyhting just it dies. any one ahd this problem before?

P.s. it only happens at 1 stoplight in town, maybe if I dont go near there it wont happen hehehe.

 

I heard that the government has been testing ignition cut off systems at some traffic signals for use in high speed chases. Maybe you shouldn't go there...

 

mine did that when I bought it. Turned out to be a bunch of crusty old vacuum hoses leaking and a huge intake manifold leak. Check your TPS/IAC and minimum idle too (look in tech articles). Good luck. I hated it when mine did that. Now it doesn't, but it does a bunch of other stuff i don't like (like knocking).

 

also could be the EGR on it's way out to lunch

Colin. I sure hope it aint that. Ive had some trouble passing emissions though woudl the EGR have anyting to do with that? and how much does an EGR cost?
