Is this a bad thing, or a REALLY bad thing?
Yesterday I removed the wheel well cover on my Trans Am, and for some stupid resone I stuck my hand in there blindly and I hit something, the next thing I knew i heard a really noticeable hissing sound like air was leaking out of something. After further investigation I saw that there is a small hose (about 2mm)that is disconneced from something. I put my hand inside the car on the drivers side, besides the side marker light (look and pic). What the hell did I do???!!!! How bad did I mess up? I would really like some help from anyone. PLEASE!!!

sounds like you might have knocked the hose off the vaccum canister or broke it... should be able to hook it back up and be fine
or have to replace something.. should be an access panel under there for access too.. or take off the plastic skin under the fender..

You do NOT want to drive around with the hose disconnected from the Orb of Power. Trust me on this. It contains an artificial singularity that could become unbalanced and collapse the Orb of Power and everythign else within a 2 block radius. I had one implode on me several years ago. Fortunately this happened in an unpopulated area. The car was totaled and I woke up the next morning in a nearby field with my underwear on the OUTSIDE of my clothes and my legs sticking out of my ears.
Seriously, not big deal. That's just the vacuum reserve canister that supplies stored engine vacuum to the HVAC solenoids up under the dash to direct which vents the air comes out of when you move the selector on the dash. Reconnect the hose wherever you knocked it off of and you'll be good to go.

Yeah. Your ball no longer has your hose attached. I HATE it when that happens.

But seriously, you've got to reconnect or replace that hose. It will cause a major vacuum leak and engine driveability problem unless fixed. Could also cause other things to "break" (CAT, etc.) if driven very long that way (provided you could at all).
