Engine runs fine until it warms up, then it pops
Ok guys, here is the problem, my car is fine when cold, but once it is warmed up and I give it gas all it wants to do is POP, not pop, POP, very loud by POP I mean it backfires loudly out the exhaust. I have already set the timing. It has no exhaust on it and that is part of why it pops so loud, but I didn't change anything exhaust wise from last year so it shouldn't be that, it ran just fine last year. I am gonna put a new exhaust on once it is running right. I have already replaced the ox sensor, it help it run better but not 100%. I did replace the coil with an accel, so right now I am thinking it may be something to do with the coil being heat saturated, anyone think this could be true? It does run a bit hotter on the upper end do to the no muffler or cat so I think this may be the key. Anyone have simular problems? Thanks for any and all help.
