87 Iroc Valve Cover Hieght
Hi,
Just completing 383 project for a 87 Iroc and was wondering
about the valve cover hieght to be able to clear the wiper
assembly, Brake booster and AC box and not have a hassle removing covers.
No speed shops around here, sorta boonies, where I can play
with covers.
E-mailed a few companies but no reply or I don't know answer.
Running AFR CNC 195s with 1.6 rockers and stud girdles so have to use tall covers.
Was looking at the GM licenced Chrome Bowtie tall covers
from Proform as they have the drippers and baffles that I want.
AC deleted and delete pulley used but may have to dimple front
valve cover on drivers for alternator as using 89 serpentine system on this one.
Any help or suggestions appreciated
Thanks

those valve covers might clear a stud girdle, and they can be weaseled around a standard valve train.the problem may be getting them over the stud girdle and under the wiper motor.
but they are a good price and very roomy!it's a real trick to keep a gasket on one while snaking it into position!

Hi,
Thanks for reply,
I really like the look of them to, but sure hate to play hit or
miss with the covers and then have to send them back and restocking fee.
Will wait and see, maybe someone who has tall covers will
chime in on this.
