Transmission: Still works
Axle/Gears: need 3.73
No. The last bearing will need to be taken out in the rear.

Can't just pull the transmission, pop the freeze plug and change it there?

Screw it, im pulling this bad boy and porting the heads, already got the damn thing torn down anyways.

pretty much have to do it with the engine up side down as well as having the pan removed and the cam plug removed

Alrighty. I got a new block, 15,000 miles im gonna use instead, fully assembled and ready to go. Gonna have the cam checked by a machinist and get new cam bearings to fit it if the cam needs to be turned and just put them on the new block. Gonna port my intake and heads too. I got a spare intake and spare iron heads, so if I mess the aluminums up, i'll put the irons on until I can find a set of aluminums again. This is sort of a good thing. Now I can clean my wiring up, paint my block and paint my intake.

Anything else I should have checked?
