SURE they work! Except the best ones are marketed under the names "Fel Pro", "National", and "Chicago Rawhide". in other words, the only fix for a leak is a new gasket or seal. Everything else is a band aid that won't last long.

The only way it can help is if the seal is dry and the additive swells the seal(Hi-tran will do the same thing). But that is usually a temp fix like he said above.

350 with stealth intake, holley carb, 470 lift cam. 700r4 with .5 boost valve, vette servo, tci lock-up kit, B&M megashifter. Richmond 3.73 gears, powertrax locker, timkin bearings, synthetic lube. Custom 3 inch single into 2 2.5 pipes. 1 1/2 drop springs, 1 5/16 solid front sway bar, 1 inch rear bar, custom subframe connectors, custom LCA relocation brackets. Kobel ground FX, current red metallic paint. Lots of other stuff...

LOL@Vader

Wheres it leaking? If its a seal/gasket, I agree... replace it. The stop leaks work for a while, but they dont last. Lucas makes an oil additive that in my experience didnt cause any unreasonable engine wear, and it helped with my leaks... and its not something that swells gaskets. Its still a Band-Aid tho...

Maybe you should go to the grocery store and get a box of Band-Aids?
