Stupid Hood Strut Question

Like almost all thirdgens, my damn hood struts are shot. I replaced the hatch struts with no problems. I am looking to replace the hood struts but at a quick glance I could not tell how to take the struts off of the hood. I know this has to be the easiest thing that I am overlooking but can someone throw me bone please.

Thanks

Ryan

350,

There are clips at either end of the strut units. Remove the clips, have an assistant hold the hood (you can't use props very effectively since the hood will have to be moved while you replace the unit) and remove the dead gas spring. Unpackage the new gas spring and have your assistant move the hood to the appropriate position while you install the unit.

Same for the other side - lather, rinse, repeat...

Autozone has em. I think you should expect to spend like 25 or so but that number may be low so dont quote me.

I got mine at discount auto. $15 dollars for the front, and $35 dollars for the rear. It took me about 10 minutes, with the hood propped up with a broom handle. But like Vader said, try to get someone to help you with holding the hood. It will be a little easier.
