To rev or not to rev?
I am putting a different cam in my ZZ4 engine, does anybody know, maybe from experience if the ZZ4 will be able to take an occasional 6500 rpm?
I believe on www.paceparts.com, where they sold the ZZ430 engine, they used the stock ZZ4 bottom half, and used fast-burn heads, they claimed their test engine ran over 7000rpm for a long-long period of time. I think it was for some race, not sure, have to check the web-site again.

it will live. But just changing the cam will not make it have the Horsepower peak at 6500. The heads will become the airflow limitation. Look at the average ZZ4 with a hot cam. It still has a hp peak at 5750. And a hot cam is pretty stout in a 350
