LB9 to LT1?

I have a 85 trans am with the LB9, and a th700r4 trans. I was given an offer to buy a complete LT1 for $1000. I know the motor has very low miles, and would love to have that much power. What all would i have to do to swap this and keep my car a daily driver? Can i use my trans? because it was just rebuilt. Thanks for any input.

your trans will work...

you would just have to use all the wiring, computer, and other stuff from the lt1 car...

fred from tx, has done the swap... i dont remember his username here... but look in the south west forum... he has a 92 RS vert with an LT1/6spd

later,
Chris
