87 350 TPI, I started to notice that the motor would make a diesel like Clack-Clack sound when starting. Now I here this sound when the motor goes from idle to above idle. I'm pretty sure it is a rod bearing taking a s***. The motor still runs good and pulls hard, for now. I will be looking into it soon and just wondered what you all thought before digging into it.

 

Had a similar thing happened to my 86Z28. Wife took it in to get an oil change(I was gone on a trip) and I noticed the sound when I came home. Checked the oil and it was 2 quarts low. Topped it off and the noise was gone
