Running rich at start-up
My cc quadrajet has been running real rich whenever i start my car(with a cold engine)
It takes about 5 minutes for the idle to finally smooth out. After that, it still runs just alittle rough, but off idle performance is not affected. The choke seems to be working fine and i have tried to
adjust the idle mixture screws, but nothing changed. Any advice?

EJ,
Welcome aboard!
If we can't figure out your problem, we'll at least be happy to make you chase around the engine eliminating possibilities.
The E4ME Rochester has a mixture control solenoid that is controlled by the ECM. This control relies on the oxygen sensor, throttle position sensor, and coolant temperature sensor to correct the mixture. The engine may run acceptably well with a failed sensor, but it won't be just right. The TPS can fail and not cause any real driveability problems, but you'll be running rich and not exactly right.
Maybe this will clear it up a bit:
If thaqt weren't confusing enough, you can check the directions in this file:
E4ME Repairs.pdf. You'll need Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file (see below).
