water pump my problem?

how do you know if it is your water pump specificaly that needs to be replaced? car is runngiong real hot when i have to sit in traffic but crusing i do fine. i have air dam and stuff in place. any ideas?

Sounds like it's your fan/fans. Your car would heat up at any speed if it's your water pump, plus water pumps leak when they go bad.
