engine stalled???

engine stalled???

Before I joined the air force and they sent me out hear to nevada (my car is still in N.J- untill I take leave in augast and drive it back- wish me luck) my car alaways stalled when I hit the brakes hard (i.e. deer jumping out in front of you) so before I left I tried hitting the brakes making sure my foot was off the cluch and it still stalled. Why???

comp cams 280H (230* intake & exuast .494 lift total
SLP headers
forged flat top pistons
Uknown heads from a 307 (OLD!)-to be replased with TF 23* heads when I go on leave
weiand action+ intake
edelbrock 750 preformer carb -to be replased with edelbrock 1000 cfm EFI when I go on leave
crane varrable duration lifters

Just a guess, did you replace the gas tank? New gas tanks are known to not be baffled as well as stock ones. Maybe your pump couldn't suck up any gas because it was all thrown forward while you were braking.
