Engine dies as soon as I start it...
Hey Everyone,
Ive got a problem I was hoping someone could shed some light on. I hit a curb a pretty hard a couple weeks ago. Hard enough to bend the K-Member. Ever since the accident, the car has a hard time starting. The first time I turn the key, the car starts, but then dies a second after it starts. It will usually do this 2 times. Then, on the third attempt, it starts and stays on. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Mark B

How well does the car run after you get it started? Try this, next time your doing a cold start, put the key in the "ON" position and leave it for 5-10 seconds, see if that helps. Also, check your battery connections, make sure they are nice and snug...

I bet the wreck damaged your starter.
That is where the main power supply come in off the battery.
The solonoid may have cracked and is giving you an internat short.
I would check the starter solinoid and the wiring down there.
