stroked 305?

I am looking to rebuild my motor come this fall and would like to keep it numbers matching being a 25th anniversary Z. A buddy of mine recomended building a stroker. I thought I heard somewhere though that strokers are not the most reliable and that they generally have alot of problems-is this true or was I just hearing things-does anyone out there have a stroked 305? If so how does it do? O yea and what are the cubes on that, isn't it 330 something-thanks

It can be from 327 to 340 something, depending on the bore..(340 something is really pushing it, I dont think there is that much metal in that block)... but it would be cheaper to throw in a 350. If you want to keep the numbers matching, wouldn't you want to keep it stock? :P I guess there wouldn't be any way of knowing though..

I think the popular 305 stroker kits bump the displacement to 334 ci.
