problems w/ s-belt conversion from ta creations anyone?

i'm ordering the v-belt to s-belt kit from ta creations on monday and i was wondering if anyone had any trouble with the kit or ta creations sending them viable parts???

i read all the old posts and it looks simple but i was wondering if anyone has done this conversion on a 85 ta 305 tpi, anything to look out for or words of advice?

I did this a couple of months ago and you'll be glad you did! I also got the parts from them and I was very pleased. I haven't charged my a/c back up due to the fact I can't find a connector for the compressor. I didn't get that connector or the one for the alt. from them, but auto zone had one for the alt(If you haven't orded yet I'd ask them to include the connectors.). The hardest part was getting all the old stuff off. Putting everything back on was easy since they leave everything partially assembled. Good luck.
If you happen to need the ac compressor connector like me and find one could you post the part #? Thanks.

It comes in 2 heavy boxes and shipping was like 50bux from Fl to Al.

Where are all these conversions coming from all of a sudden? Anyway, I think everything you need is here: Serp belt swap.

I was going to order the kit from them, but since I have "connections", I did my swap for half of what they were charging.

GMTech, when it rains it pours! i have a few junk yards around here but hardly any thirdgens in them... is there a part list off something else i could use to do this swap at a lower cost? if you could email me make, model and part list i would greatly appreciate it.

Unfortunatly, the brackets must come from an F-body V8. The V6's won't work, and the trucks are different. The A/C compressor would hit the hood.

I used the T/A creations package to put on my 76 4x4 blazer 400 sbc TPI project.

The only problem I had was that the old style 350 vette heads I used on the 400 don't have all of the mounting holes on the ends. So a couple of bolts/studs that normally tie everything together.

But as advertised, everything was included down to all of the screws/pulleys/braces and components. Very worthwhile.

the conversion went ok, ended up getting the parts from thirdgenresource in charlotte since they were local and i needed a few other things.

now that i have the s-belt setup in place and working none of my original air-duct will fit into place. i really need some help on getting some type of air scoop, air filter box and duct work to the throttle bottle in place. does anyone know of something i could do or use? i currently have the mass air flow sensor going into the throttle body held on by a rubber coupling and this isn't going to work for long...ideas are greatly appreciated!

Well I got to reuse mine since it's a camaro so I can't really help. However I believe GMTech drives a T/A so if he doesn't chime in here again you could repost over on his site.

i was wondering if i fabricated some sort of cold air intake out of stove pipe or something with the k&n filter on the end reaching down into the space where my original air box went and put my mas airflow sensor in line and skipped running the pickup scoop what kind of effect it would have on my car, 85 t/a lb9?

just searched the archives and i can't find anyone that had run into this problem... coming out of the tb is a rubber coupling that fits to a black flat air box, the mass goes to it then the stock air coffee can. my problem is since i made the swap to s-belt, i don't have room for the black flat box nor the stock air box and barely enough room for the mass sensor. if i try to install it, it rubs against the ac compressor clutch plate. i only have about 3" of space to run a pipe between the compressor and the electric radiator fan housing. anyone else had this trouble and found a solution?
