I have my motor apart, and I have the valves out of the head, what is the best way to get the carbon off the valves, is there and solvent that "eats" carbon??

We use Easy Off at work. Yellow can that looks liek spray paint. Just spritz a bit on the blackness and watch it foam away. That stuff will make you retarded if you inahle it. Definitely not a cool high. I threw up once at work because the fumes got to me, and i went outside for fresh air and it was 90+ degrees outside :P

Why, you sexist pig, you!

(What does it say about me that I knew it was oven cleaner?)

Follow directions on can, meaning use only in well ventilated oven, er, area.
