lt4 intake?

Just wondering. LT1 intakes can be swapped onto TPI engines right? LT4 intakes can be swapped onto LT1 engines. So can an LT4 intake be dropped into a TPI engine? If so, any idea on what sort of gains will be made?

LT4 intakes can only be put on LT1 engines that have LT4 heads. A LT4 intake could not be put on a TPI engine.

Yes, I believe the LT4 intake/heads are the raised port style.

Isn't the LT4 intake just an LT1 intake made to fit the LT4 heads? ....meaning that it's no different than the LT1 intake as far as airflow?

Probably not, the LT4 has higher "raised" port compared to the LT1.

The LT4 intake is really only different from the LT1 in that it's matched to the LT4 heads. If you want to bolt it on I'm sure it can be modified to fit but you'd want to check your heads first. I'd say the LT1 intake will fit most applications better. The LT4 was a little strange as far as head ports go.
