heads/cam ?
hears my story. i just put a 73 350 4 bolt rebuilt in my 86 camaro. motor was a freebie ! it was bored 30 over and 882 heads were re worked and mild cam. it runs good but will soon want to start with some upgrades. im looking for ideas vs cost on heads and cam ? im using edelbrock performer manifold and 650 carb. accell super coil, headmen shorties with tru dual open exhaust. dont want spend a fortune this is just a toy. not a daily driver. not a race car. any setups will be appriciated. thanks.

Take your 305 heads, have 1.94" intake valves put in them, do some basic pocket porting ("bowl work"), screw in rocker studs, positive type valve stem seals, upgraded valve springs.
Or World S/R Torquer 64cc heads with same bowl work.
XE268 or XE274 Comp cam.
