TurboBuicks Starter same as LT1 Starter?

I'm getting a LT1 Starter for my GTA (87) and I found this one while searching through posts
https://secure.jigawatt.cc/turbobuic...sp?prod=TBS100
It's from Turbobuicks.com

Are they the same? From what I found they are, but I wanna check before I order it, mainly b/c the turbobuicks one is $40 cheaper than the local autoparts without the core charge. Or should I just get the LT1 from my local parts shop? They're both Brand new starters. Thanks!

Not if it's for any kind of Buick motor.

Buicks have their starter on the other side of the car.

Details.

RB8 - That's what I though also, but I wanted to double check, my reason for questioning it came from an earlier post I found here on thirdgen. Here's the post, your's or anyones comments would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I wanted to look into it! $40 bucks is a tank of gas lol.

Won't be the same starter an LT1 uses but it should work acording to that thread. I can't speak from experence, I always have two starters of the same on hand at any given time. When one doesn't work, there is one on the shelf rebuilt by me. The one that comes off is then rebuilt waiting for the next time. This has only happened a couple of times for me but beats a drive to the parts store. Altenators too.
