Hypertech Fan Switch

Has anyone had any experience with the Hypertech Fan Switches? I just installed one on my 89 Iroc and it doesn't seem to be working as advertised. It is supposed to turn on the second fan at 200 and shut of at 185, but the fan does not come on. Thanks

i put one on my IROC and it worked as they said it would. it's a easy install so i doubt you messed it up. are you sure the fan works? run a jumper wire to it to make sure it will run.

How are you monitoring temperature? Use a scanner to see what the actual temp is and see if it doesn't come on at 200 - which would be a lot closer to 220 on the standard guage than you'd think.

You're right, no way I could have screwed up the install. Just remove the old coolant sensor, and install the new with the new harness. As for monitoring, I'm just going by the stock gauge, but temps will rise far above 220, the main fan is set to come on at 234 I believe, and it will come on and the secondary fan will not. The secondary fan only seems to come on if the AC is on and even then it does not always come on. Thanks
