Oil Pressure - Eratic!

I just recently changed my oil, thinking that it would solve this problem - but it didnt.

My oil pressure is rather erratic - when I first start up, pressure is normal. Within the 20-35 range. Then, after maybe 15 miles of driving - or 15-20 minutes of driving - whenever I come to a stop - the pressure will drop to zero and the engine will sort of "studder"

It's rather odd. I'm not sure what it is... anyone?

Probably the oil pressure sending unit. Best way to verify that is to hook up a mechanical gage, either temporarily, or permanently.

my car did exactly this for about a month... until it started to make a knocking sound. I spun a bearing.

Then again, it may really be low oil pressure, in which case you may start wiping out bearings...

Verify the oil pressure with a mechanical gauge and work from there.

Generally, for me, if the oil pressure drops and is accompanied with a sudden ill-acting engine, something is "not right."
