Several unrelated questions

First headers: I had mine jetcoated and they are about to be sent to me, my friend who has a 92 Z28 heard that headers get very hot ie red hot and I was wondering if this is true and also if the jethot coating makes them stay a little cooler.

Second springs, I think I know the answer, but just so I don't do something stupid, the long thin springs are for the front and the shorter thick springs are the back ones right? note: they are eibachs

last and least, just out of curiousity is my seatbelt supposed to tighten and lock when I accelerate hard? Because it does, noticeable so as though it is anticipating me hitting something, I know of ones that lock when braking hard, but never accelerating is this how they are supposed to be?

1- Coated headers keep the heat from the engine inside the pipes, thus keeping the bay slightly cooler. Headers shouldn't become red-hot....that may be a sign of very bad timing(retarded too much)...but I'm not sure.

2- Not sure about this, but generally the lower stance is seen at the front of the car...shorter springs on the front.

3- Yes, the seatbelt will lock down on you when you accelerate hard.

Oh man the short thick ones go in front?
not to doubt anyone I just thought the larger ones went in front, hmm they probly ment larger in the thickness sense i guess, well that would have been bad, glad I asked.

The rear springs have a 'pigtail' at one end, basically the end is smaller in circumference than the rest of the spring.

1: supposedly, the coatings help keep things cooler.

2: fat ones in front, but you would have found that out as soon as you took the old ones out.

3: the seatbelts should lock whenever there is signifigant g-forces (usually on braking, sometimes on acceleration, and sometimes on hard cornering). it has what's called an intertia-ball or inertia-lock inside it that locks the reel.
