Transmission: 700
spark plug gap on 383

just a general question. usually gap my plugs at .60. have heard some gap them at .45 for 383s. just wondering if eiter gap is better or makes a difference

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt with 3.23's and SLP Posi.
The longer the gap the hotter the spark, but takes a tremendous amout of voltage so you need a coil that can jump the gap. run the largest gap you can jump without predetenation.

Axle/Gears: 2.77
The AC Delco Rapid Fire plugs I run come gapped @ .045". I regapped them to .038" on my 388 after I was sure it wasn't detonating (10:1CR fast burn alum heads.)
