Cam breakin oil
I'm gonna be breaking in my new Comp XS-262S Solid mechanical flat-tappet cam soon and am wondering what oil i should use to break it in?
I'm looking for something with a high zinc content, to help keep the cam alive. I was also wondering if you could use synthetic to break it in.
I'm gonna add GM EOS, should i do anything else, or does it matter?

DO NOT use synthetic.
Any good-quality dinosaur juice oil, with the EOS, should be fine.
I don't think any of the car type oils have zinc in them any more. You might have to go to a diesel or aviation oil for that. Delvac, Rotella, etc. But, with the EOS, it shouldn't matter; that's exactly what EOS is all about.
Depending on your valve springs, it might be good to remove the inners.
