but d00ds,.. i can it fro cheap,.. seroously d00ds,.. all most fro free,.. & its a big block toooo,...

where has he been at lately? i need a good laugh.

we put a bone stock LS1 in a very clean 68 camaro, it came out nice, runs great, gets much better fuel mileage than the radical carbed 350 it had.

a LS7 in a third gen, or any car for that matter with twin turbos,.. Jay Leno has one. WOW,.. what a rocket ride, i don't think its a ride i would take,... well, maybe once, but never on the street.

why dont you just call Jay Leno.. and ask him.. since he was the 1st one to use the LS7 and Twin Turbo it.. which is where i think you got the idea.

good luck trying to get an LS7 now. If i were you.. i would use the LS2, and twin turbo that. or go to SLP and get their 402ci engine for far less.

Nobody will look up to you that wouldn't with just a 400hp street motor. A car thats fast is one thing, but without the ET, its just a dyno queen and any drag racer is going to think your an idiot throwing that much in a motor that runs 12's after almost hitting the wall 3 or 4 times.

If you must have a 1000hp street car/dyno queen buy this or copy his setup. The ls7 would be nice, BUT you gotta think realistically here, not to mention you could do about as well in hp for a lot less money.

well jay lenos car uses a prototype ls2 block. it is 425ci, as opposed to the ls7 which is 428ci. basicly the diff in displacment comes from .015 bigger bore on the ls7. lenos motor uses a forged crank and the ls7 uses titanium.

actually lenos TT olds tornado is based off an LS6 block from the CTS-v race program...i know becasue i have the mag that the car was in...the heads are CNC'd LS6 casting aswell as a undisclosed camshaft

read the magazine again. notice it says it is a gen IV sbc? the heads are from the cts-vr program. it says the engine is based on the ls6 architecture, but it is a prototype gen IV. the heads are also gen IV. if you were to read in the oct 04 issue of hotrod you would see that the cts-vr does not use a ls6, it uses a c5r motor with 104.8 bore and a 83.0 stroke. considering the heads are based off the cts-vr program and the cts-vr uses a c5r, then lenos car could not be useing an ls6 head, when it was stated the it uses cts-vr heads, which are c5r heads.. and if you realize that the ls6 is a gen III motor and it says the motor in lenos car is a gen IV the it would be impossible for lenos to be a gen IV and an ls6. you were wrong, you should have reread the article.

The only titanium the LS7 uses is with the connecting rods, the crank is forged steel.
