Vette heads
Hi!
I have a deal on a complete engine from a vette-87 whith alu heads, are these heads a upgrade from my stock L98 heads?
And are the pistons different to?
Thanks for any replay.

the vette heads are aluminum IIRC. So you can run one more compression. You might as well just swap heads. You'll get the same results lol.

The aluminum L-98 heads are a good head but in stock form don;t make any more horsepower than you stock cast TPI heads. So a straight head change won;t get you much of any thing.
But..... the beauti of these heads lays in their performance when modified.
When fully ported, deshrouded chamber, with larger LT-4 2.00x 1.56 valves They are a bang up head.
But it's up to you to do the mods or send them out to be professionaly ported.
You can get good results yourself.

Ok Thanks.
I will get the complete engine becouse its cheap, and have the heads done,i think it will still save me some money compere to by a complete new set of heads.
The hole engine with ecm and harnes are 700USD.
Will it be worth just swap those ported vett heads without swap cam.My goal to next winter are 270RWH.
