What heads & internals to get for 350 w/ LT1 intake swap?
I'm not doing this right now or in the super near future, maybe next year or so. I want to put a 350 in my Trans Am, but I also want to make it low 13's /12's with slicks. But I need some pointers on heads/pistons and crank.
So here's what I got so far in my head:
1) LT1 intake courtesy of John McMillan
2) LT4 or ZZ4 hot cam
3) 3.73 gears
4) TQ conv.
5) SFC's
6) LCA's
7) hooker long tubes and a cutout
How does that sound so far, any changes or recomendations for me regarding any of those?
I got this far, but I am not sure what heads would be good. What heads would flow like the LT4 heads? What about pistons, which should I go with? Would L98 or LT1 be ok? And the crank, would the L98's or LT1's be fine?
Last question, the SD computer will have a heart attack over this radical change, would MAF handle this better? Reason I ask is because I made another post in the TPi section of going from SD to MAF for mod acceptability and would wonder if this would be safe, or would it just be a simple chip burn for the SD? I don't have a chip burner nor the access to one. And I don't have time to have one sent to me and back and forth if it doesn't work you know.
Thanks guys!!

you'll need a little more suspension work for that.
what's your tranny going to be? You'll need to beef it up in order to hold up to a 12/13 second car.
What about the rear diff. ?
To get into the 12/13's you may want to go with a lil more cam. the CC305, or 306 even if you want to go a little more radical... both of these cams are streetable still. If you choose your stall converter at the right speed, then it would be perfectly streetable.
