Remember to disconnect the battery. In the words of Blue Collar T.V... I believe..... if you drop a tool trying to remove #7 spark plug withou the battery disconnected, you get pretty sparks and maybe a fire.

also helps ALOT if you cut the spark plug socket in half and then drill out the top and use an open ended wrench to turn it.

I do believe I put the wrong # should have been #8. Even on the passenger, odd on the driver side.

Did you change the spark plug wires too? You might've just put them back on in the wrong order.

Yeah i checked everything 2 and 3 times, plug wires are good, all spark plugs are torqued in, only thing i can think of is the distributor is off, not sure how but possibly? also maybe i switched the wires for the coil and the cap maybe? what sides should those be on? i mean to plug into the brown/white connectors on the distributor cap?

Did you have more than one boot off the cap or plug at the same time?

In that case then find #1 on the distrubuter and work thru the fireing order to each plug. You likely screwed up the fireing order.

Should always do one at a time.

I doubt your distributor is so way off that it will not start unless you removed your distributor from the engine. When you start the car, is the engine firing at all or is the starter spining the engine? Have you pulled a spark plug wire and see if it is firing at all? I know you stated you rechecked the plugs and plug wire, check them again and make sure they are correctly connected on the cap. Check to see if the rotor is in place and pushed down as far as it would go. Next would be to check the coil.

If you are sure the wires are on the right terminals then...

Try a search on ignition coil and then pick up coil. Could also be your ignition module but there is no home test for that.

Well here are the parts i have bought for the tune up

AC Delco plugs
Bosch plug wires, new rotor, cap
accel supercoil

Well how do i tell if they are firing or not? when i turn the key, i hear the starter but the engine cranks but doesnt turn over.

just not sure how it could run before and now it doesnt, ignition module huh? i dont know i know the car ran great before but i knew the old plugs were very bad so i wanted to do a nice tune up on it...i dunno

Remove one wire, insert a screwdriver into the boot so it touches the metal part, and while holding the handle hold it real close without touching to a ground (the exhaust manifold, or the frame..somewhere the spark can jump). Have someone else crank it and you should see a spark jump to the ground.

did you gap the spark plugs to .035? I remember my first tune-up on my Camaro I didnt know what gapping a spark plug even was... I left it to my friend to do it, he ended up gapping them to .075 lol.
