Problems with '91 B4C ETs, please help!

I got my '91 B4C running fairly good, or so I thought after I installed new injectors. The problem is, I've been to the track twice and can only muster up a 15.45@90 mph. My friend says that it should at least be in the 14s, which I tend to agree. The previous owner (being the dumba$$ that he is) replaced the original exhaust with a 2 1/2" cat-back Midas special. My friend advised me to replace it with a 3" Cat-back and this would help the situation. I was looking for some more advise on this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just did a complete tuneup and set the timing at 8 degrees advanced. Thanks!

Does anybody have any experience with G92 305 equipped cars? I'm trying to get this thing running decent. Anybody out there with a '91-'92 Z28 with a 305, 5-speed setup? Thanks!

I don't have your answer but I know the guys that do will want to know your 60 and they will want to know if you missed any shifts or if you are new at driving a stick stuff like that. I do know a tune up is the first thing they will suggest.

Actually I was the one who drove b4c1le's car that night since I can shift alot faster. The car has a fresh tune-up, no missed shifts and the 60 ft times were around 2.3-2.4 but that doesn't concern me as much as the mph. I feel his 305/5spd mph should be 94-96mph. Hell that night he drove my L98 B4C to a 14.34 @ 97.45mph. It was hot that night, around 100-105*. Any other ideas.

makinemtap,
14.3 is about right for a 350 car. My B4C is a 305/5-speed setup. Most all of my 350/A4 cars ran around 14.3 also. I would be thrilled with a 14.5 or so with the 305.
