Car: 1986 IROC
Engine: 305 TPI
Transmission: TH700r4
Engine Problems!!!
Yesterday I found out that I blew a Rocker stud and repaired it. I thought that I put it in the Number 1 firing postion. Well I guess I was wrong
and now the car will crank over but the shut down after a second. Someone please tell me what to do!!!!!!!!!!!

First, what did you remove in order to get the valvecover off? Could be as simple as an airleak in the MAF ducting to the TB.
Did you reset the lash on all the valves, or only the one that you removed the rocker arm from?
You mention that you thought it was at #1 firing position, why is/was this a concern? Did you pull the distributor for some reason? Did you remove all the plug wires? If so, start by checking the wire routing first, if the dis was pulled for some reason, you'll need to verify that #1 is at TDC, and wores routed according through the firing order.
But start simple first.

Okay I got it starting the only thing is that it knock. I think its a valve but what do you guys think?
