Cool can or maybe fix the charcoal cannister.

sorry for yet another post, but I've been readin on gas smells and one thing that consistantly came up was the charcoal cannister. if this becomes an option to replace, could a "cool can" be better, or would I be better off just fixing the charcoal canister.

What would be the pros/cons of each?

I'm running an 86 LG4 with the CC Q-jet.

The cool can is not a vapor can, instead its a heatsink made so you can toss ice in there to give you a couple hp at the track. The vapor can is totally different. As for a cool can on a FI engine, forget it... Dry ice on the intake works better to lower et's, but thats a whole diff story...

Check the filter on the bottom of the canister, blow it out with compressed air. You will have to unbolt the canister to access the filter.
