601 heads?

601 heads?
Is a 601 head similar to a 081 or 416 head? Or will they be a good choice of head for my 305 with carb and aftermarket cam?

Haven't you been asking about heads for a while here?
I HIGHLY recommend you read sitting bulls write up. He did 601s on his 305 and worked really well, and he mentions they are VERY similar to 416/081's. Something about spark plug placement being the difference...?

Read as much of it as you can. Then you'll know everything there is to know.
I just picked up "how to build and modify chevrolet small block cylinder heads" by David Vizard. Extremly good if you are going to port your own. Kinda high level, so i'd recommend searching through the boards and reading (sitting bulls post), and all the other head porting posts first.
