Should i go with the performer RPM package, or make my own combination. How much does the package cost? The parts i picked out brings the cost to about $2000 including the machining.

If there is a crate engine that makes around 400hp for 2,000 I might consider it. I also want to do the work myself as a learning experience.

 

i am in the middle of putting a 90 305 in place of a 87 305 (the 90 I got for 900 and it all the acc. and only had 8 miles), I will tell you what man what a PITA. It is alot of work but hell, it is worth it right....

 

how do you figure it only comes to 2000?

 

Well, the engine was free. The Block work will be about 250, the Engine kit with pistons rods crankshaft 800, intake manifold 120, Heads 850, camshaft 100, well it comes out to 2120, and not everything is there, but i would have to say 2500 max for the engine.
