K Ive been going thru Ignition control modules lately. Im on my third, They seem to be going every month to 2 months. I cant figure it out today the symptoms are coming back. This morning it idled fine but as soon as you give it some gas the RMP gauge is all over the place so I could not drive it and back in the driveway it goes until I can figure why it keeps doing this. Can anyone out there Help Me PLZ

 

wow, bet thats getting expensive. did u take it to O'Reilys or some place to test it to tell exactly wut its going wrong with it?

 

Change your ign pickup. I had the same problem. Every week or so it would run rough and when I shut it off it wouldn't start until I put a fresh module in it. 20-30 some junkyard modules later I changed the pickup and never burned another one for the last 2 years.

Here I found the module tested fine, but had an intermittant open, I guess this fries modules....

 

That was one of the first things I replaced the Ign Pickup. When I first started to have problems. Any other Ideas out there.
